April 1908 – January 1909 (age 29)With Saturn in Aries in the 10th house (career and public status), Einstein's first Saturn Return demanded he take his vocation seriously. In 1908, after six years as a patent clerk in Bern, he secured his first university teaching position — an unsalaried lectureship at the University of Bern. The second return demanded a reckoning with his legacy. As nuclear fission was being discovered in Europe (1938), Einstein was laying the intellectual groundwork for his famous 1939 letter to President Roosevelt warning about atomic weapons — a letter that altered the course of world history.
